Transferring Data to a new iPhone or iPad (QUICK START)
Ensure your current device is connected to wi-fi and Bluetooth is switched on.
Turn on your new device and ensure it’s near your current device. Follow onscreen instructions to get started. If the message to setup your new device goes away from your current device then you have to restart both devices.
Follow the phone setup instructions (e.g. connect to wi-fi/mobile network, setup your face ID)
Then choose how you want to transfer your data over.
• If you use icloud , your apps and data will be downloaded in the background so your device can be used straight away.
• If you want to transfer directly from your previous device, then you need to wait for the transfer to be finished on both devices before you can use them.
Ensure devices are near each other and plugged into a power source until the data transfer process has completed.
Note – Transfer times can vary depending on network conditions and the amount of data transferred.
